I'm beyond excited (and honestly a little nervous) to finally launch Once Upon A Mind: A Little Too Friendly here on Itch.
This game has been a deeply personal journey. It’s the first episode in a grounded psychological horror series that leans into real-world fears and uncomfortable truths no ghosts or jump scares, just the slow burn of paranoia and unsettling human behavior.
You play as Emily, a 23-year-old who moves to Brooklyn for a fresh start. What begins as a cozy new chapter quickly shifts into a tense and disturbing story after an innocent café job leads to an encounter with someone who just... doesn’t know when to stop.
Grounded Psychological Horror: No monsters, no paranormal activity—just real-world fear and emotional tension.
Short, Story-Rich Format: Designed to be completed in one sitting, with a strong narrative focus.
I'm a huge fan of comic book visuals, so I created a special comic strip promo folder included with the game. It's not part of the main gameplay, but if you check it out after finishing, it adds another layer to the story and may even hint at a secret ending.
